When I worked at User Interface Engineering with Jared Spool and the gang there we were paid very good money to write these enormous reports, but the thing was, that’s just actually for posterity’s sake. The real job is communicating the results immediately to the design team. If we’re not doing that, then no report is ever going to create empathy. I heard wireframes and some other things called “bill-liverables” the other day. Deliverables that you bill for.
